One of my favorite movie characters is Willy Wonka. He possessed extreme creativity and put on a show for the masses with his delightful chocolate factory. Each invention of his was simply a masterpiece.

When it comes to musicians, I remember Elton John's colorful costumes and vibrant music since childhood. His video for “I'm Still Standing” still makes me giddy and move around no matter where I am. It's an inspiring song and always puts me in a good mood. His music and presence have always inspired me, as he was clearly a talented man living life on his own terms.

These are two examples – one real and one fictional- of an ENFP personality. The Myers-Briggs Personality Test is a tool used by many to help determine why they act and feel the way they do. The test measures four different areas in order to create a well-rounded personality profile. These areas are:

  • Extroversion vs. Introversion
  • Sensing vs. Intuition
  • Thinking vs. Feeling
  • Judging vs. Perceiving

If you are not sure where you stand on the personality scale, no worries! You can take the test here in just minutes.

What is an ENFP Personality Type

People who fall into the ENFP personality type are often described as outgoing, enthusiastic, and creative. If you're an ENFP, you probably enjoy being around people and have a knack for making others feel comfortable. You're also probably pretty good at coming up with new ideas and aren't afraid to take risks.

That is why ENFP is one of the most common personality types among fictional characters, although they exist in reality as well. After all, stories don’t write themselves. Some real-life examples include:

  • Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain), U.S. journalist and author
  • Kurt Vonnegut, U.S. novelist
  • Ellen Degeneres, U.S. comedian and talk show host

  • Amy Schumer, U.S. comedian and actress
  • J.J. Abrams, U.S. director

Now that you’ve a good grasp on this type of personality, I thought we’d have some with our list of famous fictional characters with ENFP personality types! Here goes….
